We’ve been reviewing pushchairs honestly since 2006. Not manufacturer specs rewritten — real advice from real use, tested in UK conditions that matter: narrow doorways, bus aisles, car boots, park paths, and canal towpaths.
How we test
Every review says exactly how the pushchair was assessed — shop tests with Janette, long-term daily use by our daughter K, and real owners we’ve met out and about, from Beadnell to Roundhay Park to Casey’s Corner at Disneyland Paris. Scores are ours, never supplied by the brands, and we never pretend to have tested a pushchair we haven’t.
Lightweight, cabin-size pushchairs for flying, public transport and city life.
Full-size singles for pavements, parks and everyday family life.
Big wheels and proper suspension for park paths, gravel, towpaths and countryside.
Single-to-double pushchairs and doubles for two (or three) children.
No longer sold new, but still worth knowing about if you’re buying secondhand.
Choosing between two pushchairs?
Our head-to-head comparisons focus on the differences that affect everyday use — fold, weight, terrain, travel, child capacity and value.

The most comprehensive real-world test any pushchair on this site has received — two grandchildren, a weekend in Northumberland, a Skoda Enyaq boot, a restaurant in Seahouses, and a dog who found the basket.
Two compact travel pushchairs separated by one feature each. The Butterfly 2 has the fastest fold we’ve used in twenty years. The Pip has one of the tallest handlebars we’ve found on a compact pushchair.
The Orange 4 and Donkey 6 solve the same problem — a growing family needing two-child capability — in fundamentally different ways. We tested both hands-on.
Stokke YOYO³ vs Mamas & Papas Airo — both compact, both cabin-compatible. The YOYO³ earns its £211 premium if public transport and travel are daily realities. The Airo wins on fold, basket, from-birth use and price.
Mamas & Papas Ocarro 2 vs Bugaboo Fox 5 — the Fox 5 is the benchmark premium all-terrain pushchair. The Ocarro 2 delivers serious mixed-terrain capability with carrycot included at a lower price. Honest hands-on verdict.
Bugaboo Dragonfly vs Stokke YOYO³ — honest comparison of two premium city compacts. Tested at Disneyland Paris and in daily public transport use. Which suits your life?
Bugaboo Fox 5 vs Joolz Geo3 — honest comparison of two premium all-terrain pushchairs. Terrain performance, newborn setup, 10-year warranty and which suits your family better.
Bugaboo Fox 5 or Donkey 6? One is the best all-terrain single, one is the best single-to-double. Honest verdict on which is right for your family.
Bugaboo Dragonfly or Butterfly 2? Both are Bugaboo quality — but is the Dragonfly really worth £510 more? Honest verdict.
