Pushchair Reviews

We’ve been reviewing pushchairs honestly since 2006. Not manufacturer specs rewritten — real advice from real use, tested in UK conditions that matter: narrow doorways, bus aisles, car boots, park paths, and canal towpaths.

How we test

Every review says exactly how the pushchair was assessed — shop tests with Janette, long-term daily use by our daughter K, and real owners we’ve met out and about, from Beadnell to Roundhay Park to Casey’s Corner at Disneyland Paris. Scores are ours, never supplied by the brands, and we never pretend to have tested a pushchair we haven’t.

Joolz Hub2 compact urban pushchair

Joolz Hub2 vs iCandy Core 2

The Joolz Hub2 and iCandy Core 2 solve different problems — daily transit portability versus premium ride quality and terrain confidence. We compare fold, weight, suspension, basket capacity, and verified price and warranty, to help you choose the right one for your situation.

Joolz Aer2 lightweight compact pushchair

Joolz Aer2 vs Mamas & Papas Airo

The Joolz Aer2 is a premium lightweight compact — genuine one-handed fold, tall-parent-friendly handle and a 10-year transferable warranty. The Mamas & Papas Airo is the value proposition — a lie-flat seat included from birth at £189. We compare both to help you decide what paying more actually buys you.

Joolz Geo 3 all-terrain pushchair

Joolz Geo 3 vs iCandy Peach 8

The Joolz Geo 3 is built for genuine outdoor terrain — puncture-proof wheels, real suspension and 15 growing-family configurations. The iCandy Peach 8 is built for premium everyday ownership — exceptional fabric, a Lullaby Trust carrycot and a 5-year warranty. We compare both to help you choose.

Joolz Hub2 compact urban pushchair

Joolz Hub2 vs Mamas & Papas Ocarro 2

The Joolz Hub2 is a compact city commuter with a known weight and a standalone fold. The Mamas & Papas Ocarro 2 is a substantial all-terrain pushchair built for rougher ground. We compare fold, terrain, warranty and value to help you decide which one actually suits your daily life.

Silver Cross Reef 2 all-terrain pushchair

Silver Cross Reef 2 vs iCandy Peach 8

The iCandy Peach 8 scores 8.5/10 against 8.0/10 for the Silver Cross Reef 2. Both are capable, premium pushchairs — but the Peach 8 converts to an inline tandem double and the Reef 2 does not. The decision turns on one question: will you need two seats at the same time?

Silver Cross Reef 2 all-terrain pushchair

Silver Cross Reef 2 vs iCandy Core 2

We tested both hands-on. The iCandy Core 2 earned the first 10/10 we’ve awarded for suspension on this site. The Reef 2 hits back with a 3-year warranty and Silver Cross heritage. Here’s which to buy.

Silver Cross Clic 2 lightweight travel pushchair

Silver Cross Clic 2 vs Bugaboo Butterfly 2

The Silver Cross Clic 2 and Bugaboo Butterfly 2 are the two most closely matched compact pushchairs in the UK market — 0.8kg apart, different price radically different value propositions. We’ve tested both hands-on. Here’s the clearest decision guide we could write.

Stokke Xplory X premium pushchair with elevated seat

Stokke Xplory X vs Bugaboo Fox 5

We’ve assessed both the Stokke Xplory X and Bugaboo Fox 5 hands-on. One scores higher — but the right pushchair depends entirely on what you’re actually buying it for.

Stokke Xplory X premium pushchair with elevated seat

Stokke Xplory X vs Stokke YOYO³

Two Stokke pushchairs that share a badge and almost nothing else. The YOYO³ is the right choice for most parents. The Xplory X is built for tall parents or those who need to avoid bending. We compare both honestly.

Silver Cross Clic 2 lightweight travel pushchair

Silver Cross Clic 2 vs Joolz Aer2

The Silver Cross Clic 2 offers British build quality and a 3-year warranty. The Joolz Aer2 offers cabin-friendly dimensions and a 10-year transferable warranty. We compare fold quality, cabin rules, and which is the better buy for your situation.

iCandy Core 2 premium single pushchair

iCandy Core 2 vs Bugaboo Fox 5

Both the iCandy Core 2 and Bugaboo Fox 5 score 8.5/10 — but they earn it differently. The Core 2 delivers the most impressive suspension we’ve assessed, with an interchangeable multi-mode wheel system. The Fox 5 extends its terrain range through 30cm rear wheels and two-wheel mode. Here’s which one is right for your life.
