Our verdict in one sentence

A well-built, premium pushchair that grows with your family — add the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board and it carries three — but it’s wide, heavy and expensive, and if one baby will be enough, this isn’t the single pushchair for you.

Quick answer: Buy it if you’re starting with your first child and planning to expand your family — when child number two comes along, you only need to expand, not start again with a new pushchair. If you’re pretty sure one baby will be enough, or you won’t have two little ones around the same time, choose something different. Weighing it against the iCandy Peach 8 or Bugaboo Donkey 6? I’ve handled all three — see my ranking below.

I’ve tested the UPPAbaby Vista V3 on more than one occasion. I did a shop test locally, but before that I met a lovely family at the Edgewater Cafe in Beadnell, Northumberland, who had one with them. (The Edgewater Cafe is a wonderful spot — a new restaurant with a garden with incredible sea views! A slight digression, but highly recommended.) They were on holiday from Yorkshire, so we got chatting, as Yorkshire folk often do when they hear a familiar tone!

The UPPAbaby Vista V3 is a premium pushchair which is expandable to grow with your family. You can add a second seat, called a RumbleSeat, or a PiggyBack ride-along board for toddlers — and this family had both.

Why trust this review?

Tested by: Mark and Janette, on two occasions. In late summer 2026 we met a family in Beadnell using a Vista V3 with the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board fitted — the dad demonstrated removing and refitting both, I pushed and lifted it, and Janette talked to the mum about how they get on with it. In September 2026 we did a shop test, with help from a lovely assistant named Jill, covering the fold, size, quality and strength — again pushing and lifting it ourselves.
Evidence basis: Owner encounter plus hands-on shop test. We haven’t lived with one day to day. Specifications verified against UK retailer listings, October 2026.
Conflict of interest: This review contains an affiliate link to Natural Baby Shower. This does not affect the verdict.

✅ What I liked

  • Grows with your family — add a RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board rather than buying a new pushchair
  • RumbleSeat and board are quick to remove and refit — I watched the owner do it in Beadnell, then did it myself in the shop test
  • Well-built, premium quality — solid in the hand
  • Large wheels, great suspension and good storage as a single
  • Folds with the main seat attached (forward-facing) and stands on its own
  • Carrycot included in the UK — from birth
  • Looks great in all combinations

⚠️ What to watch

  • Heavy — 12.5kg empty, and fairly weighty fully loaded
  • Wide — 65.3cm, a single width but a large one
  • Takes up quite a bit of room in the car
  • Not cheap — and the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board are extra
  • RumbleSeat limit is 15kg — a heavier child may need the top seat
  • Only folds with the seat attached when it’s forward-facing
  • Overkill as a permanent single — much of its appeal is the ability to expand

Overall8/10

Overall score: 8/10. The Vista V3 earns its marks on adaptability and build — it does what it promises as a pushchair that grows from one child to three. It sits half a point behind the iCandy Peach 8 and Bugaboo Donkey 6 (both 8.5/10) because, having handled all three, the weight, the width and the extra cost of the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board make it a close third rather than the winner. For the right family it’s an excellent pushchair; for a one-child family it’s the wrong one.

Three children, one pushchair — what I saw in Beadnell

The family I met had the RumbleSeat attached and the ride-along board. The board easily lifts up and down when not in use. It’s quite a striking-looking combination, and the first and most obvious question for me was how easy it is to expand and remove parts. Being in happy holiday mode, they were happy to show me. By this time their kids — Janette reckoned roughly one, two and four years old (as a bloke I’m often not great at guessing ages!) — were all in highchairs eating, and the dad was quite keen to show me how easy it is to detach and reattach both the RumbleSeat and the PiggyBack ride-along board.

Two release buttons and the RumbleSeat lifts straight up from the adapters. The board has two release buttons underneath the front edge. Easy peasy, as they say! It all clipped back together before any of the kids made a sound.

I then asked the dad the next obvious question: how manoeuvrable is it? His view was that it handles really well — and that it’s ideal for anyone with three kids where one is walking but sometimes gets tired legs. I pushed and lifted it myself, and meanwhile Janette was chatting with the mum, who even with her hands full feeding the kids was really pleased with their pushchair.

💬 The owner’s verdict

“It’s a cracking bit of kit!”

I asked him the negatives, and his answers were pretty much as you would expect. With three kids on, it is heavy, it takes up quite a bit of room in the car, and it’s not cheap.

The shop test — fold, size, quality and strength

I subsequently had the opportunity for a shop test with Janette to check out the fold, size, quality, strength and more — a lovely assistant named Jill helped us. I also removed and refitted the RumbleSeat and board myself — just as quick and easy as it had looked in Beadnell. I think it is a well-built, premium-quality pushchair.

As long as the main seat is forward-facing, the pushchair will fold with it attached, and it stands on its own when folded. It felt solid — but of course the kids weren’t on board, and my pushchair experience tells me it would be fairly weighty fully loaded. Not for the meek — but then again, who with three young kids is meek!

While it’s wide, it’s comfortably a single width — just a large one. At 65.3cm it’s wider than the Bugaboo Donkey 6 in single mode (60cm), but because the RumbleSeat fits underneath rather than alongside, it stays the same width when you add the second seat, where the Donkey 6 grows to 74cm. The basket has good storage.

Expand, don’t start again

And here is the thing: this is a highly adaptable pushchair. If you have your first child and are planning to expand your family, you can purchase this pushchair, which happily operates as a single stroller — with its large wheels, great suspension and good storage (the caveat being that it’s a touch wide and quite heavy). Effectively, when child number two comes along, you only need to expand, not start again with a new pushchair.

One practical point: the RumbleSeat is rated to 15kg, from six months. The main seat goes up to 22kg, so as the children grow, a heavier child may need to go on the top.

Vista V3 vs Peach 8 vs Donkey 6 — my ranking

Having handled all three, it’s a close call. The Bugaboo Donkey 6 is side by side, so it’s materially different, and for most people that may be the deciding factor on its own.

Between the Vista V3 and the iCandy Peach 8, the seat positioning is quite different. I’d describe it to someone who hasn’t seen them like this: the V3 places the seats a bit more above and below each other, whereas the Peach 8 puts them more in front and behind, as they’re closer vertically. The V3’s RumbleSeat has a weight capacity of 15kg, so a heavier child might need to go on the top — though a Peach 8 seat fitted on elevators is also limited to 15kg. And the Peach 8 has a built-in ride-on board, whereas with the other two you need to buy one separately. I’ve compared the two in detail in iCandy Peach 8 vs UPPAbaby Vista V3.

💬 If this were my money…

For me, it’s a close call, but I’d place the V3 in third place, with the Peach 8 the winner. Why? Because it’s the narrowest, has the highest seat weight capacity and has the built-in ride-on board — but it is heavy. If you’re set on the Vista V3, buy it because a second child is part of the plan. However, if you’re pretty sure one baby will be enough, or you won’t have two babies around the same time, choose something different, as this isn’t the single pushchair for you. By no stretch.

Is the UPPAbaby Vista V3 right for you?

A good choice if:

  • You’re expecting your first child and plan to expand your family
  • You want one pushchair that carries two, or three with the PiggyBack board
  • You’d rather keep the pushchair single-width when you add a second seat than go side by side
  • You have a large car boot and the budget for a premium pushchair plus extras

Think carefully if:

  • One baby will be enough — this isn’t the single pushchair for you
  • Weight matters — 12.5kg empty, and weighty fully loaded
  • Your car boot, hallway or doorways are tight
  • Your older child is heavy — the RumbleSeat is rated to 15kg

Verdict

In the UPPAbaby Vista V3 you have a highly adaptable pushchair which looks great in all combinations. It’s well built, it handles well, and the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board turn it from a single into a pushchair for three without starting again. It comes at a price, and that price is money — but you do get what you pay for, especially in this case.

Bottom line: if you’re planning to expand your family, the Vista V3 is a cracking bit of kit, as its owner put it — just be ready for the weight, the width and the extras. If you’re pretty sure one baby will be enough, this isn’t the single pushchair for you. By no stretch.

Frequently asked questions

Can the UPPAbaby Vista V3 be used as a double?

Yes. Add the RumbleSeat (sold separately) and it carries two, and with the PiggyBack ride-along board as well it can carry three. The family I met in Beadnell used all three, with children of roughly one, two and four.

How easy is it to add and remove the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board?

Very. Two release buttons and the RumbleSeat lifts straight up from the adapters; the board has two release buttons underneath the front edge. I watched the owner take both off and put them back on before any of the kids made a sound, and I did the same myself in our shop test.

What is the RumbleSeat weight limit?

15kg or 91.4cm tall, whichever comes first, from six months. The main seat is rated to 22kg, so a heavier child may need to go on the top.

Does the Vista V3 fold with the seat attached?

Yes, as long as the main seat is forward-facing — and it stands on its own when folded. I checked this in our shop test.

Is the Vista V3 worth it if I’m only having one child?

In my view, no. It works well as a single, but you’re paying for — and pushing — the ability to expand. If one baby will be enough, choose something different. Our iCandy Core 2 and Bugaboo Fox 5 reviews are good places to start.

Vista V3 or iCandy Peach 8?

Having handled both, I’d choose the Peach 8: it’s narrower, has a higher seat weight capacity and has a built-in ride-on board — though it’s heavy too. The seat layouts also differ: the V3 places the seats more above and below each other, the Peach 8 more in front and behind.
