Our verdict
The UPPAbaby Vista V3 wins for most growing families.
Both use an inline layout in double mode, with the lower seat limited to 15kg. The Vista is a little lighter, takes a PiggyBack board for a third child, and I’ve had my hands on it — RumbleSeat off and on. Choose the Joolz Geo3 instead if you do a lot of Roundhay Park types of trips: its large puncture-proof wheels, suspension and 60-litre basket are built for exactly that, and it has a 10-year warranty if registered.
How we compared them
UPPAbaby Vista V3: seen in daily use by a family with three young children at the Edgewater Cafe in Beadnell, Northumberland, then shop-tested with Janette for fold, size, quality and strength — and I removed and refitted the RumbleSeat and PiggyBack board myself.
Joolz Geo3: observed in active use in Roundhay Park, Leeds, with a couple using it in duo configuration with two young children. I briefly handled it; the fold was assessed from conversation with the owners.

Choose the Vista V3 if…
a second child is part of the plan, your routes are mostly pavements, shops and parks with paths, and you’d like the option of a PiggyBack board for a third.
Choose the Geo3 if…
parks, countryside walks, gravel paths and varied terrain feature regularly in your week, you want a big basket for family days out, and you have the boot space for a 13kg pushchair that folds to 93 × 60 × 47cm.

What makes the UPPAbaby Vista V3 stand out
The Vista V3 is a highly adaptable pushchair. I met a family at the Edgewater Cafe in Beadnell with one carrying three young children — the RumbleSeat underneath and a PiggyBack board on the back — and watched the dad take both off and put them back on before any of the kids made a sound. In the shop test, I did the same myself. Easy peasy.
It happily operates as a single, with its large wheels, great suspension and good storage — and when child number two comes along, you only need to expand, not start again. The catch is that it’s wide, heavy and expensive, and the RumbleSeat is rated to 15kg, so a heavier child may need to go on the top.

What makes the Joolz Geo3 stand out
It was a warm Sunday afternoon in Roundhay Park when we met a lovely couple with a Joolz Geo3, configured for two. Open parkland, grass paths, some gravel, gentle slopes — and the Geo3 handled it with ease. Large puncture-proof wheels, good suspension, confident on every surface we saw it cover. The basket had room for a family picnic and everything else they’d brought along.
The weight was noticeable when I briefly handled it. At 13kg with the seat fitted, this is a substantial pushchair before any child is added. For a family using it regularly in the right terrain, that becomes normal. For a family using it daily on pavements and public transport, it would become a burden.

💡 From the Vista owner I met in Beadnell
“It’s a cracking bit of kit!” — his negatives were that it’s heavy with three kids on board, takes room in the car and isn’t cheap.
The question that decides it
How much of your week is Roundhay Park? Both carry two children one above the other, both have a 15kg lower seat, and both are heavy. So the deciding factor is terrain. The Geo3 only wins against the Vista V3 if you do a lot of Roundhay Park types of trips — open grass, gravel paths and slopes, where its wheels, suspension and big basket come into their own.
For everyday use — pavements, shops and the odd park — the Vista V3 is the better all-rounder, and the PiggyBack board gives you a route to three. As I always say, before buying a pushchair you need to understand where you will use it and how you will use it.
💬 If this were my money…
If you’re set on one of these two, buy it because a second child is part of the plan. For most families, the Vista V3 — the Geo3 only wins if you do a lot of Roundhay Park types of trips.
And if equal seating matters, look at the Bugaboo Donkey 6, where both children sit side by side. As always, choose the right pushchair for your needs and budget.

Choose the Joolz Geo3 if:
