The fabric question
The iCandy Peach 8’s fabric is the thing that separates it from the Fox 5 more clearly than any specification. Janette’s assessment when we handled both side by side was unambiguous — the Peach 8 fabric is in a different class. It’s the same feeling as opening a hotel wardrobe and finding high-thread-count bedding. You know immediately, before you’ve consciously registered anything, that this is better.
The Fox 5 Renew has recycled polyester fabrics that are genuinely good — Bugaboo’s sustainability credentials are real. But the Peach 8’s fabric quality is the single most distinctive thing about owning it, and no specification comparison captures it. If that kind of sensory ownership experience matters to you, the Peach 8 is the answer. If it doesn’t, the Fox 5 wins on almost every other dimension.
The terrain question
The Bugaboo Fox 5 is the terrain benchmark in its price bracket. Its suspension system handles gravel, uneven paths, grass and kerbs with a confidence that the Peach 8 cannot match. The Peach 8 is a capable all-round pushchair — it handles parks and mixed urban terrain well — but if you walk on genuinely varied ground daily, the Fox 5 is the stronger pushchair for that life.
If your daily terrain is mostly smooth pavements with occasional parks, both handle it equally well and terrain shouldn’t drive the decision. If it’s regularly gravel paths, countryside trails or uneven ground, the Fox 5 is the right answer.
