The Libelle is lighter — 5.9kg versus 6.2kg. That 300g sounds negligible, but you stop noticing weight in a showroom and start noticing it on the third staircase of the day. K is slight of frame and manages a toddler on public transport daily — for her, that 300g is the difference between a pushchair that works effortlessly and one that’s just slightly more effort. For grandparents lifting a pushchair in and out of a car boot, the same logic applies.
The honest caveat: the Libelle achieves that weight saving partly through small plastic wheels and a two-handed fold. The YOYO³ at 6.2kg is still one of the lightest pushchairs on the market. 💬 If this were my money…
If both hands were usually free when folding and manoeuvrability mattered, I’d buy the YOYO³ — it’s the better pushchair overall and the one I’d recommend to most parents in this category. If I were slight of frame, managing stairs daily, and that 300g was genuinely meaningful — or if the full YOYO³ setup cost was a stretch — I’d buy the Libelle and feel good about it. It’s a genuinely capable pushchair at a significantly lower price. Remove the weight question and the YOYO³ wins clearly. Put the weight question back and the Libelle’s case becomes much stronger for the right buyer.
If we were standing in the shop together…
If you told me you were slight of frame and every kilogram mattered on a daily basis, I’d point at the Libelle — and note that the saving versus the full YOYO³ setup is more than it looks on the frame price alone.
If you told me you wanted the best overall compact pushchair and weight wasn’t a hard constraint, I’d point at the YOYO³ without hesitation. The manoeuvrability difference is real and confirmed by daily use — not a showroom impression.
