The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is the pushchair that serious pushchair researchers keep coming back to. It’s not the cheapest option, it’s not the lightest, and it’s not the most compact — but for parents who want one pushchair that genuinely grows with their family from newborn to toddler, and potentially accommodates a second child without buying again, it’s one of the most considered purchases you can make.

I’ve been covering UPPAbaby since they arrived properly in the UK market and the Vista has been their flagship throughout. The V2 update refined what was already a strong pushchair — the toddler seat is larger, the frame more streamlined, the canopy better ventilated. It’s the version worth buying.

What makes the Vista V2 stand out

It grows with your family. The Vista V2 starts as a single pushchair and converts to a double with the addition of the RumbleSeat V2 — a second seat that attaches to the frame. If you’re planning more than one child, or already have two close in age, this is genuinely useful rather than a marketing feature. You buy once and the pushchair adapts.

Seat height. UPPAbaby positions their seat noticeably higher than most competitors. Your child sits further from exhaust fumes and closer to eye level with adults — something parents notice immediately when they switch from a lower pushchair.

Build quality. The Vista V2 feels premium throughout. The fold is smooth, the materials are high quality, and it has the kind of solidity that tells you it’ll still be running well in three years’ time. UPPAbaby’s reputation for longevity is well-earned.

Storage. The underseat basket is large and genuinely accessible — you can reach it without unpacking half the pushchair. For a full day out this matters more than most spec sheets acknowledge.

The honest caveats

Weight and bulk. The Vista V2 is not a lightweight pushchair. In double configuration it becomes a substantial piece of kit. If you’re regularly on public transport, managing stairs, or have a small car, this will feel like a lot of pushchair.

Price. The Vista V2 sits at the premium end of the market. Add the RumbleSeat for double configuration and you’re into serious money. It’s justifiable if you’ll genuinely use the double function — less so if you end up never converting it.

The RumbleSeat is sold separately. Worth knowing upfront if the double capability is part of why you’re buying it.

Who the Vista V2 is right for

The Vista V2 suits parents who are thinking ahead. If you have one child and are planning a second within three or four years, the single-to-double capability makes the premium price easier to justify — you’re buying one pushchair rather than two. It also suits parents who value seat height, build quality, and longevity over compactness and light weight.

Where it’s less ideal: urban parents on buses and tubes daily, anyone with a small car and limited boot space, or parents who need a pushchair they can carry easily up stairs. For those situations, the UPPAbaby Cruz V3 or Minu V3 are worth considering instead.
